Grief Support Group
_______
"There is no grief like the grief that does not speak."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Our Grief and Loss Peer Support Group is designed to help you cope with the loss of your loved one. Friends and family of individuals being cared for at Crossroads House are given information about the group and upcoming sessions. The group is not limited to those who lost loved ones receiving comfort care at Crossroads House. Community members seeking grief support are welcome to complete an application.
The support group provides you with a safe and confidential space to discuss the loss of your loved one and guide you in developing strategies to help you understand and cope with your grief.
Grief is like a fingerprint. Everyone experiences it differently. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Our sessions run six consecutive weeks. They are designed to aid you in exploring the grieving process, offer encouragement to express your feelings and provide you with methods of coping so you can discover what works for you.
The sessions are offered at no cost to participants. Materials are provided. Reservations are required and can be made by completing an application.
