Crossroads House is a comfort care home serving the residents of Genesee and Wyoming counties who have been medically determined to be in their last stages of life (three months or less). Comfort care is founded upon the belief in the importance of honoring the well-being of every individual and respecting the sacred dignity of human life.

The Crossroads House staff and volunteers are committed to provide personalized care attending to the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of our residents and their families while affirming a dignified quality of life in a caring home-like environment.

Crossroads House is an incorporated not-for-profit organization that provides service free of charge. Admission is based solely on need, regardless of religion, age, sex, race, creed, economic status, or other distinctions.

Crossroads House staff and trained volunteers are able to care for two residents at a time. We provide warm, personalized care and support our residents and their families physically, emotionally and spiritually as the journey through the dying process, all while maintaining a dignified quality of life for the resident.

Admission to Crossroads House is based solely on need, regardless of age, sex, race or religion. Each resident admitted to Crossroads House must be under the care of a Certified Home Health Care Agency to ensure proper medical care and case management.

Our Assessment Nurse can assist with finding an agency for your loved one. Crossroads House serves residents primarily from Genesee and Wyoming Counties. A prospective resident currently living in either county may apply for admission at any time.

Crossroads House opened in 1998 as an alternative to Nursing Home or Hospital placement for the terminally ill. In a home-like setting, Crossroads House has the capacity to serve two individuals at a time and is available to residents of Genesee and Wyoming Counties.

Our Licensed Nurses and trained volunteers staff our home 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our dedicated volunteers give wholeheartedly of themselves to help those in need.

Crossroads House provides areas of comfort and privacy for friends and family members wanting to be with their loved one during this very intimate time of their lives.

Our kitchen is always open for preparing meals and home baked goodies for the residents and their families. Our dining room is always a great place for coffee, conversation and family meals.

Our warm and cozy living room is a comfortable environment for emotional support and visiting with family and friends. This beautiful all-season room opens to our deck and provides a view of our beautiful memory garden. Adjacent to the room is a full service, walk-in, wheel-in, bathroom/shower.

At Crossroads House the volunteers and staff take great pride in providing the best comfort care available in a warm and home-like atmosphere. We provide all services FREE of charge, with a lot of compassion, caring and dedication to those we care for.
