The Crossroads House volunteer experience allows you to put your love into action. It opens the heart and fosters understanding, compassion and cooperation among individuals. Volunteering reminds us that there is goodness in the world and that life has a purpose. You will find that you get more from our residents than you give.
We are always in need of volunteers. We realize the value of everyone's time in this fast paced society but would greatly appreciate your help. You may contact us by:

WAYS TO HELP ALL YEAR LONG!
VOLUNTEERING: The greatest gift of all is that of self. Our volunteers give countless precious hour as caregivers, as board members and as committee members who raise funds, write grants and newsletters, do maintenance, and share their expertise whenever needed.
MEMORIAL AND HONORARIUMS: Because we do not receive insurance reimbursements or governmental funding, making donations in the name of a loved one or a donation in lieu of a gift helps us provide the need for our residents.
IN-KIND DONATIONS: Some of our support takes the form of items that are needed for the house. A “wish list” is available on request. Many groups or organizations find this helpful.
MATCHING FUNDS: If an employer offers to match and employee’s charitable contribution, please let them know about your gift to us. We are happy to complete the necessary paperwork.
WILLS: It is possible to designate a gift to ensure the future of Crossroads House.
FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS: By participating in and supporting our numerous fundraisers and events you are helping to provide the needed operational funds.
UNITED WAY: Please consider Crossroads House as a Donor Option Agency. For the Buffalo & Erie County Campaign simply write “Crossroads House, Batavia” and for the Greater Rochester United Way designate #2330.
HELP US GET THE WORD OUT: Speakers are available to address your club, church or civic organization. Tours are welcome and can be arranged by calling (585) 343-3892 and asking for Lyn Distaffen.
